I noticed some inconsistency between my books a long time ago, some of them were very saturated but recently they have all been up to the same standard.

It will not perform as well on skin tones and colours as Inkjet or Silver Halide but is very sharp. Mixb ook prints all their books on digital HP Indigo printers. The lay flat is not bulky, there is no sheet between the pages. The perfect bound goes up to 300 pages, the lay flat up to 150 and the flush mount up to 100 depending on the thickness. The flush mount binding can be chosen in 3 thicknesses and 2 colours. Photobook WW offers perfect bound, seamless lay flat and flush mount. Standard and Lay Flat book can have a maximum of 110 pages, Flush Mount Albums 70. You can opt for rounded corners and gold/silver gilding. The Flush Mount Albums use flush mount binding, which is lay flat but with much more rigid pages. The book opens fully flat but it’s sprinted on pages, not spreads, so there is a break in the middle of the book where the hinges are.
The hinged lay flat is a cheaper option and a different look. The perfect bound and seamless lay flat is identical to Mixbook and Blurb. Shutterfly offers photo books in 3 bindings: perfect bound, hinged lay flat and seamless lay flat. Perfect bound books can go up to 440/220 pages depending on the paper choice and the lay flat up to 110 pages. Score: 4/5 Perfect Bound Topīlurb offers the same two binding options as Mixbook. Luxurious flush mount books are not present in the range. Lay flat books can have a max of 100 pages. The lay flat pages are really thick since there is a sheet inserted between the pages for rigidity. The lay flat books are printed as double spreads and stuck together creating a seamless flow of images. The perfect bound books are glued at the spine and can go up to 400 pages. Mixbook offers 2 binding types: perfect bound and seamless lay flat. These are all good quality, nice covers, my scores are based on the options provided and availability throughout the range. The Flush Mount Albums have an extra cover, the Luxe. You can also add hot and foil stamping to the deluxe cover. The latter two can be chosen in leather and linen in a wealth of colours. Photobook WW offers 4 main cover types: Softcover, Hardcover, Debossed and Deluxe. It’s a good basic range but other covers like linen, die cut or acrylic would make these books more high end. The covers all look nice but the most expensive book, the lay flat, can only come with the Matt Hardcover. Mixbook offers Softcover, Matt and Glossy Hardcover and Leather cover with Dust Jacket. Also, Photobook WW is one of the few companies to offer XXL sizes like 16×12″. Not all sizes are available for each book type but you have a wider selection. Shutterfly offers 7 sizes but again, only 5 of them are available for all books and only one portrait size. The sizes cover a range from small to very large but it’s still a very basic selection. Blurb has 5 basic sizes and 1 mini book available only in the smartphone app.
